Rainy dreary Mondays call for weekend throwbacks when it was warm & sunny.

Ships Café is my family's go-to for crabs when we want to be “fancy” and eat inside an actual restaurant- and not on our back deck. They get fresh steamed-to-order crabs delivered on the regular (when in season) and also have a ton of other locally sourced seafood options to choose from.

They are located in Catonsville, not too far from downtown Baltimore, and conveniently located 10 minutes from my childhood home. They have several floors of indoor seating great for groups, bar seating and also have crabs available for carry out for those who want to eat at home.

This restaurant is a family tradition when we want to celebrate birthdays, feast on a few dozen crabs and ears of corn 🌽, and sip on a can or two of Natty Boh beer. 🍺 & don’t forget a bowl of crab soup while you’re at it. This is Maryland livin’ in a nut shell…or should I say, crab shell. 🦀
