The Tasting Room is one of the “fancier” establishments in downtown Frederick. Their beef carpaccio- thinly sliced beef tenderloin served rare; is a dish we’ll return back for on its own. They delivered us a full plate of this beautifully plated and well-seasoned deliciousness and we were in awe. This is one of our favorite dishes when done right, and oh boy does TR do it right.

The amazing appetizer selections are perfectly paired with a wine flight- I chose the “Big Whites” flight. I love a good chardonnay, or two. They have an extensive drink menu- wine, beer, and a wide array of mixed cocktails- seasonal, experimental, and of course the classics.

The apps and drinks are easily followed up by their delicious dessert options. We opted for the crème brulee- topped with caramelized sugar, Chantilly cream and fresh berries, as well as a slice of their cheesecake. Yum!
