Do I love this place 1000% more because it’s literally a brewery inside of an old church? Maybe. Anything to make my religious ancestors a little uncomfortable… and there’s beer, so of course I’m going to love it.
The venue itself is gigantic, bigger than any church I’ve ever been in. They could probably fit over 200 people in there comfortably (post-Covid of course). Right now, there’s plenty of room for each group to spread out, drink beer, and stare in awe at the historic art and humongous brewery equipment that sits on the altar.
Flights are the way to go in my opinion, so that’s exactly what we did. I tried several including: "their coffee porter “Shot in the Dark”, an Imperial/Double “Imperial Wispy”, my favorite of the day “Esmeralda” a berliner weisse sour, their Oatmeal Stout “Hound’s Tooth” and their coffee-inspired “Cafe IPA”.
