This location of The Food Market in Columbia, MD is the sister restaurant to the original Food Market located in Hampden. We’ve been to the Hampden location over a dozen times for brunch, lunch or dinner- celebrating many birthdays, new jobs & holidays. Once we heard of the new location coming to Columbia, we knew we had to make our reservations to celebrate my husband’s new job.
We visited The Food Market in Columbia with my in-laws on a Saturday evening. We ate our way through the menu, ordering 6 appetizers, splitting 2 entrees and 3 desserts. We loved every single thing that was brought out to us, from the cheesesteak steam buns, charred octopus, amish soft pretzels, the triple cooked wings, fried oyster “carbonara” and big ole’ mozzarella sticks, to the duck parts entrée and steak frites. We then ordered the ½ baked blondie- with torched marshmallow, caramel, chocolate, vanilla ice cream & Chad’s dirt cup- one was complimentary thanks to our awesome waitress Sara who knew we were celebrating my husband’s new job & one was ordered by us already. We ate everything and washed it all done with a dozen or so cocktails, beers & glasses of rose.
What an amazing experience we all had at this new location. We will definitely be back to try everything else on the menu we were too stuffed to the first time around.
