Sometimes I’m just in the mood for a fresh baked pastry, muffin or croissant for breakfast. The place I’ve been meaning to try & originally heard about from @thelocalwander is Roggenart – a European inspired Bistro Bakery & Cafe in the heart of my hometown of Howard County, MD.
On my way to work I grabbed a Frosted Schnecke, an almost dessert-esque sticky bun made from croissant dough, filled with chopped walnuts and topped with icing. I also couldn’t resist a muffin that appeared to be pretty much exploding with fresh blueberries… & of course, I had to order a black iced coffee to wash it all down with.
The café appears to be perfect for a coffee date with a friend, a quick afternoon pick-me-up or even a place to setup your laptop and get some work done. I’ll definitely be back!
