Opening in 2015, Olde Mother quickly became one of the best breweries in the Frederick area. They moved to a new location in downtown Frederick after outgrowing their original space due to high demand and popularity. They have 2 large bar areas with seating, plenty of tables for groups, and a large warehouse area with darts, corn hole, and plenty of table games/board games to choose from.
According to my Untappd check-ins I’ve only tried 24 different beers from Olde Mother, but I can assure you all of them were great. They make amazingly tart sours like their Sucker Punch series, citrus-forward IPAs like Peter Kveikman as well as pale ales, lagers, wheat beers and stouts to keep any beer nerd happy.
They now have free parking next door with frequent food trucks that stop by, but are also only a 14-minute walk from Carroll Creek in downtown Frederick if you happen to already be in the area. Do yourself a favor and visit Olde Mother Brewing.
