Monocacy Crossing has been a staple in Frederick for over 20 years. They have a large outdoor dining area as well as indoor and ample bar seating. Reservations are recommended because this place is a hotspot and their parking lot fills up quick.
We were lucky enough to snag a seat on their outdoor patio after a long day at work. We have lived in Frederick for over 2 years and still hadn’t visited this restaurant until now, and boy were we pleasantly surprised.
>> Drinks: Strawberry Peach Sangria for me- Absolut peach vodka, Cointreau, Rose Wine, club soda, lemonade, peaches and strawberries & a beer (or two) for my husband.
>> Appetizers: House-made Potato Chips with Creme Fraiche and Hackleback Caviar (fancy AF) & a special of the night- Crawfish Hushpuppies with a Cajun Remoulade, YUM!!
>> Dinner: I ordered a half portion (their regular portions are gigantic) of the Sauteed Shrimp and Scallops over Fresh Papardelle Pasta with a roasted garlic cream sauce & my husband ordered their Burger & Brew special which includes: your choice of Dinner Burger (ground short rib & brisket with bacon, Swiss cheese, mushrooms and a truffle aioli) or an 8oz. Burger topped with cheddar cheese, bacon, BBQ sauce & crispy onions, paired with your choice of 16oz. draft beer.
