Who’s ready for the weekend?! I know I am. The Manor Hill Tavern is located in downtown Ellicott City, first opening their doors in the Spring of 2017. Manor Hill quickly became a staple in the tight knit community of Main Street Ellicott City (my hometown). ❤️ They brew their own beer at their local brewery, located 15 minutes away in the Ellicott City suburbs. The restaurant is best known for its wood-fired oven pizza, 🍕with a ton of delicious options to choose from. My husband always reaches for the Holy Smoke— Alabama White BBQ, Tavern Blend Cheese, Smoked Cheddar, Root Beer BBQ Sauce, Beer Can Chicken, Pickled Jalapeno, and Corn. The pizza literally comes to your table with a cloche full of smoke for the “big reveal.”

My go-to’s include their ooey gooey mac & cheese— made with Conchiglie, Palmyra Smoked Cheddar, Smoked Gouda, and 🧀 Tavern Blend Cheeses, topped with Old Bay and Crunchy Stuff, and the ‘Bird’s the Word’ chicken sandwich— Bread & Butter Pickle Brined Fried Chicken topped with a chipotle slaw, house pimento cheese, pickles, and a spicy honey drizzle on a spent grain brioche bun, with a side order of their famous and salty hand-cut bacon fat fries. 🍟

You’ll usually find us sitting at the second floor bar, my husband ordering pours of their draft beer 🍺 selections while I try one (or a few) of their seasonal mixed drinks (sangria, orange crushes) or a glass of wine. 🍷
