Lazy Fish is the hot spot in downtown Frederick for sushi. We recently visited on a Sunday for lunch.

Here’s what we ordered:

>> Apps: We tried two of their current specials; the Escolar Tartare- White tuna, spicy tuna, pine nuts, black tobiko (flying fish roe), on top of a black sesame cracker with a yuzu beef vinaigrette & an order of the Momo Dumplings- Nepali-style pan fried dumplings with chicken, spices and a pineapple chutney.

>> Entrée: Pong Nigiri (named after chef & owner, Pong) – a 12-piece raw sushi assortment of tuna, salmon, eel, yellowtail, white fish, and chef’s choice for my husband & a classic California Roll- crab stick, cucumber, and avocado & a Lazy Fish special Baltimore Roll- lump crab meat, cucumber, avocado, old bay, and a spicy mayo for me.
