Since moving to Urbana we’ve been on the search for the best local delivery/take out pizza we can find. This weekend we tried Il Forno Pizzeria. They’ve been slinging pies since 1990 on the Golden Mile in Frederick, MD. They’ve been voted “Best Pizza” by two local Frederick publications so we knew we had to try it for ourselves.
We ordered:
Garlic Bread - made “pizza style”, cut into slices and served like a regular pizza, their homemade dough is baked in a wood-burning oven; topped with tons of garlic, olive oil and a light cheese. This stuff was amazing fresh and reheated the next day.
I ordered a Margherita pizza for myself - a classic topped with tomato sauce, mozzarella, and tons of fresh basil.
My husband ordered their pepperoni which I assume is the same as the Margherita but with pepperoni instead of fresh basil.
