Cryin’ Johnnies is a super casual restaurant located in downtown Mount Airy, slinging some delicious hot dogs with all the toppings, hot & crispy french fries, burgers, subs & sandwiches, as well as beers & a bunch of ice cream desserts like milkshakes and floats.
After a few games of duck pin bowling around the corner at Mt. Airy Lanes, we were hungry for some dogs and a few cold beers. We knew Cryin’ Johnnies was the spot to go.
I ordered a crabby dog- a split hot dog served on a pretzel roll, topped with homemade crab dip, cheddar cheese & old bay. A large basket of fresh cut fries was also ordered for the table, which we topped with a hefty amount of salt and malt vinegar, just how we like it. An ice cold Yuengling was exactly what we needed to wash this lunch down. Everything was super delicious, cheesy and over-the-top perfection. What Marylander wouldn’t love a hot dog covered in crab dip and old bay?!
