Handcrafted cakes, pastries, cookies & sourdough bread can all be found baked fresh at Bakehouse in downtown Frederick. They are open Thursdays through Sundays from 8am to 2pm (or sell out), which they seem to do every time! When this place opens there’s a line around the block in downtown Frederick. This awesome brick & mortar started off only selling their pastry items at the Frederick farmer’s market. They were so popular they were able to move into a storefront, lucky for us!
If you’re able to snag a few of their delicious treats, consider yourself lucky. My friend at @east.coast.bite grabbed an array of sweets from Bakehouse one morning and surprised me with them. She bought a wide variety of pastries from blueberry lemon scones, blueberry crumb croissants, cinnamon cream cheese buns, and raspberry cream muffins.
3 Coffees from @cafenolamd because @east.coast.bite couldn’t decide on just one flavor so she ordered- French toast: cinnamon & maple, Betty White: coconut & vanilla, and Drone: fig & honey.
